Spud RUN 2024

Sunday 16th of June saw Gina & Gareth run a fun multi-terrain run over near Marloes in Pembrokeshire.

The Spud Run is a low key 10K organised by Pembrokeshire Tri Club - and takes in all that the local scenery has to offer - especially the “(One of the) Best Beaches in The UK” - namely Marloes Sands.

The race starts and finishes at the excellent Runwayskiln Restaurant - who provide a hot drink and a cake to all finishers as part of the race entry. The lovely weather certainly contributed to the day - but with scenery like this - the views would be dramatic no matter what.

The low key nature of the event was emphasised by the race prizes - a fine bag of spuds from the local farmer! No controversy over whether the prizes were eco-friendly here… Race tees were provided by a local supplier as well.

A big “Five Stars” from the guys - definitely one to consider for next year…
