Cosmeston Relays July 10th 2024

On a warm but wet evening BAC enjoyed some success last night (Wednesday July 10th) at the Cosmeston Relays event put on by Penarth & Dinas Runners. 236 teams of 3 per team competed, each runner running the slightly-less-than-5k mixed terrain course, the baton being passed from runner to runner.

We had a total of 11 teams of 3 runners – with our Senior Men team of Rhys Hardman, James Hunt and Owen Wiggins a wonderful 2nd overall only to a strong Lescroupiers team.

One of our ladies team (comprising Kate Roberts, yes – wearing blue and yellow for once, Sophie Oddy and Erin Andrews) also came 2nd Ladies Team.

The other notable performances were from the V45’s team coming 3rd (Geoffrey Dodd, Jon Parry and Kevin Fosbury) and the V55’s team, coming 2nd  (with Steve Summers, Mark Roberts and Rob Hunt).
